The new politics: How the internet changed everything

Earlier this year, the Manning Centre Conference brought up U.S. social media expert Vincent Harris to declare campaigns of yore “dead or dying.” Likewise, in his comments on the 2015 federal election, Liberal digital strategist Tom Pitfield says contacting people offline is “inefficient,” and points out that today, a quarter to a third of the population is only reachable by digital or mobile instead of by traditional television.
